"Giuseppe Liuccio's message lives on in the new name of Salerno Airport"

The Association Da Costa a Costa: Giuseppe Liuccio, expresses deep satisfaction for the recent decision to name Salerno Airport with the new name: “Amalfi Coast and Cilento Airport”.

 

A choice that represents a milestone of extraordinary symbolic and strategic value for the entire Province of Salerno, which from today presents itself to the world with the joint identity of two of the most appreciated tourist and landscape territories in Italy: the Amalfi Coast and Cilento.

 

For Cilento, this is an expected and deserved recognition, which marks a historic turning point in the path of valorization of the territory. A concrete opportunity to build, following the example of the Amalfi Coast, an equally strong brand, capable of promoting the villages, nature, culture, monuments and traditions that make this land unique.

 

Prof. Giuseppe Liuccio, who has always been involved in the cultural and social promotion of Cilento, strongly supported the need for Cilento to be present in the name of the airport. He did so as a citizen deeply tied to his land, but also as a convinced promoter of unity and collaboration between the two territories of the same province, which only together can face the challenges of the future.

The naming of the airport “Costa d'Amalfi e del Cilento” therefore marks the beginning of a new phase for the territory: a phase in which identity, cohesion and common vision are transformed into opportunities for citizens, local economy, tourism operators and visitors from all over the world.

Along these lines, the recently established Association will commit itself with conviction to give its contribution, in memory and in the footsteps of Giuseppe Liuccio.
